How much is that doggy in the window?

Shopping centres can be a great place to relax, unwind and maybe indulge in yourself whilst you casually window shop amongst the inviting stores.
You can get a coffee and doughnut at Donut King, splash out on a new dress at Myer, get your groceries, and if you’re feeling impulsive enough, buy a puppy!
Pet stores inside shopping centres have existed for far too long and have no need to exist within our society. The animals are put on display inside a stuffed box filled with shredded paper and a glass window, where potential buyers peer at them constantly.
Owning a pet is a major responsibility and one that must be taken seriously and not decided on a whim. We are in a wasteful society, and sadly animals are a part of this culture. Abolishing pet stories within shopping centres and complexes is the right thing to do; the humane thing to do.
Pet stores should be encouraged to have their own property where the animals can run freely in the open sun while they wait for a new owner.

Stores like those, the RSPCA and certified private breeders should be the only place that you consider buying a pet from.
